About Me

SHDesigns is the personal studio of Sarah Hegmann, dedicated to producing high quality illustrations. Sarah is a Biomedical Illustrator proficient in both 3D and 2D illustration techniques. Devoted to the integration of accuracy, compelling imagery, and education within every project, Sarah produces stunning visuals and animations that illustrate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner.  

 

Currently living on the west coast with two cats and a dog, Sarah greatly enjoys working with various teams to develop new and exciting content. She has a Master of Science in Biomedical Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with Honors from Louisiana State University in 2006 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Studio Arts. Having received multiple leadership and service awards, Sarah enjoys collaboration in a group settings as well as independently working a project from conception to completion.  This background has enabled her to be uniquely suited to the fusion of art and science. Sarah is passionate about constantly learning in the fields of both science and art, pushing the medium of medical illustration.
